Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP in Hawaii is seeking a Utility Distribution Planner to support major electric utility clients nationwide. The role covers the full lifecycle from reviewing applications to delivering construction-ready job packages.

You will perform field inspections, prepare bills of materials and cost estimates, validate design information, and collaborate with stakeholders to meet scope, schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology from an accredited college/university.
• 3-5 years of experience as a planner/designer on distribution system projects.
• Familiarity with utility infrastructure planning workflows.
• Ability to perform field inspections and document findings.
• Detail-oriented with submittal review capabilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MicroStation and O-Calc for design submittals.
• Must live on Hawaii or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Review electric service applications for installations of overhead and underground facilities.
• Review project submittals throughout the project life cycle.
• Respond to RFIs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare initial bill of materials and cost estimates.
• Perform field inspections and prepare field reports.
• Prepare complete job packages for construction.
• Validate design information against utility standards.
• Attend scheduling and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Collaborate to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Other duties as assigned.
