Summary:

The Haven Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, coordination, and quality of care with the applicable community neighborhood . This role ensures the delivery of person-centered care to Residents with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, while promoting a safe, structured, and engaging environment. The Haven Program Manager supervises staff, supports families, and ensures compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.

Duties & Responsibilities :
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Memory Care neighborhood, ensuring high quality, Resident-centered care, and adherence to established clinical standards .
  • Participate in the annual business and budget planning for the respective neighborhood . Contribute to annual business and budget planning for the Memory Care neighborhood while monitoring and adjusting staffing levels, care planning and delivery, and supply inventories to meet labor and supply cost targets and high-quality care . Supports driving financial outcomes .
  • Support the Resident move-in process by reviewing pre-admission medical evaluations, gathering personal information, assessing functional abilities, and identifying individual interests and social needs . Assist with assessment and sales activities as needed .
  • Lead the development of individualized service plans, including nursing care, nutrition, and activities, and facilitate service plan meetings with Residents and their families . Ensure State compliance with ISPs
  • Lead and collaborate with the Haven neighborhood's Activities Coordinators to develop weekly activity calendars for each neighborhood and ensure care staff assignments support Resident participation in activities .
  • Meet with prospective and current Residents and their families to discuss care needs, activity participation, and address concerns, fostering positive relationships . Ensure that issues and complaints related to care services and activities are resolved promptly and appropriately .
  • Participate in Health Maintenance meetings to review Resident service plans, monitor changes in condition, and recommend updates to care plans and activities to meet Resident needs .
  • Monitor key business performance indicators and participate in regular reviews to assess compliance with Federal, State, and Kensington Senior Living policies . Identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans to implement necessary changes .
  • Supervise, mentor, and coach care staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management, while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Communicate regularly with families, provide updates, support, and education on dementia care .
  • Interview, make hiring recommendations, train, orient, evaluate performance, and appropriately discipline neighborhood Team Members . Set departmental priorities and make job assignments . Keep Team Members informed of changes that impact them .
  • Represent Kensington Senior Living in progressional and Community activities and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and service providers .
  • Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, and programs related to the health care industry . Participate in professional development activities as required . Maintain professional certification .
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications :
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within high-acuity assisted living communities, with direct hands-on care experience required .
  • A bachelor's degree is required .
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals . Able to clearly present information while responding effectively to questions from managers, Residents, families, and the public .
  • Must be able to communicate with people of all ages clearly and proficiently, while maintaining an energetic and positive attitude . Must be able to read and write English .
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the Community for extended periods of time while performing job duties .
  • Ability to lift, move, or assist with items or equipment up to 25-50 pounds occasionally .
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays .
