Job summary

Stowers Machinery, East Tennessee's Caterpillar dealer, seeks a Division Manager of Hauling to lead transportation across Rental, Sales, and Service. You will optimize routes, supervise drivers and dispatchers, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while cutting costs.

You will partner with shops and departments to maintain performance metrics, implement policy improvements, and report on transportation outcomes. A hands-on leader with strong data skills will excel in this role.

• Collaborate with other departments for seamless transportation activities.
• Manage relationships with outside carriers to maintain customer service standards.
• Coordinate with company truck shop for fleet maintenance and repairs.
• Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on transportation performance.
• Address transportation-related issues promptly.

• Proven experience managing transportation logistics and carrier relationships.

Work Environment

• Office setting with frequent interaction with dispatchers, drivers, and other departments.
• Occasional visits to truck shop and field locations.
• Requires collaboration with internal teams and external carriers.

Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, employees must be careful while performing onsite services.
