Job Description

Hours/Schedule: Day Shift: Mon-Sat, between 6am and 6pm.

• Operate a variety of equipment at an aggregate facility as directed by supervision.
• Operate mine-related trucks safely and efficiently for the Upper Sandusky Plant.
• This is not a CDL opportunity.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Non-CDL encouraged to apply.
• Operate haul truck and water truck on-site.
• Load and dump materials correctly and efficiently.
• Keep ground watered to control dust at the plant.
• Follow all safety guidelines.
• Operate track excavators, backhoes, dozers, loaders, rollers, forklifts, and other equipment.
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and inform supervisor when needed.
• Maintain processing equipment within general guidelines.
• Record and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Inspect and maintain conveyor, screen, and crusher equipment.
• Perform greasing, lubrication, and general repairs, including welding.
• Perform routine duties as directed by the Foreman.

Education and Experience

• Experience with operating procedures of multiple types of trucks.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of proper operating procedures of various equipment.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and conduct equipment inspections.
• Proficiency in maneuvering trucks into loading/unloading positions and backing trucks safely.
• Capability to drive trucks with a clutch.
• Ability to climb stairs or ladders to access trucks.
• Skill in strapping and securing loads.
• Maintain high awareness in a busy work environment.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, lift objects up to 75 pounds, and perform other physical tasks.
• Good coordination of eyes, hands, and feet.
• Ability to maintain three points of contact when entering/exiting equipment.
• Comfort sitting in equipment over rough terrain.
• Ability to perform equipment inspections and understand instructions.
