Job summary

Arcosa Aggregates in Kopperl, TX is seeking a Haul Truck Driver / Mobile Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy equipment and work with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment. You will perform daily pre-shift inspections, promote safety, and maintain clear communication with plant staff while handling equipment such as haul trucks, tractors, water trucks, and backhoes.

Training is provided; no prior experience is required.

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Haul Truck Driver based out of our Kopperl, TX. As a Mobile Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment.

Day to Day

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Safely operate a haul truck, farm tractor, water truck or rubber tire backhoe.
• Operate equipment in quarry
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
• Cleans equipment, clears obstacles in work environment.

About You

• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• No prior experience required, training provided

Working Conditions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
