Job summary

Wayne Farms is seeking a Hatchery Attendant to support daily hatchery operations, including egg handling, incubation, chick care, and facility maintenance. The role requires attention to biosecurity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers on-the-job training, benefits from day one, and a schedule that includes night and weekend shifts. Candidates must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in variable temperatures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to follow detailed processes.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs or more.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Makes hourly checks of hatchers and setters, recording problems and performing minor repairs when possible.
• Calls Maintenance or Management for major repairs.
• Monitors humidifier leaks, curtain positions and turning in setters/hatchers.
• Responds to hatchery alarms and coordinates repairs or notifications.
• Performs security checks and ensures doors are locked after daytime hours.
