Perdue Farms is seeking a Hatchery Production Associate at Salisbury Hatchery #2. You will help create the optimal environment for healthy chicks and oversee incubation, hatching, and care under precise conditions.

This hands-on role supports high-volume hatchery operations and delivers quality results for growers. The base rate is $16.95 per hour with pay premiums, possible overtime, and an annual bonus dependent on performance.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and write effectively.

Responsibilities

• Receive, set, and transfer approximately 991,440 eggs weekly with minimal damage.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize the hatchery, reducing mold and bacteria.
• Operate tray wash and separator machines to maximize throughput with minimal damage.
• Transport and process about 250,000 chicks daily with accurate distribution.
• Follow management directions and SOPs while supporting team morale.
