Job summary

Tyson Foods in Alabama is seeking a Hatchery Technician to assist with day-to-day hatchery operations, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and follow Tyson policies.

You will handle hatcher baskets, move boxes and eggs with dolly, clean hatchers, and help train on the separator as needed; readiness to lift 10 lbs and work 8-10 hour shifts in dusty, warm, humid conditions is required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to perform all essential functions with or without accommodations.
• Ability to learn and understand machines.
• Able to stand 8-10 hours and lift approximately 10 lbs repetitively.
• Work in dusty environment with high allergens such as chick down.
• Work in warm/humid environment.
• Wear PPE and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor with hatchery operations and cleaning.
• Move stacks of boxes (approx 70 lbs) with a dolly.
• Move buggies containing eggs with a dolly and clean floors.
• Monitor hatchers and setters as required by management.
• Run chick trays, flats and boxes through tray washer and prep equipment.
• Train to operate the separator.
