Qualifications

• Post-high school education or vocational training.
• At least 2 years of hatchery or live production experience.
• Basic computer skills; travel 1–2 trips per year.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operations of a specific hatchery, monitoring daily activities and devising improvement strategies.
• Documentation: complete chick delivery sheets, flock pull sheets, and mortality charts; logs on truck miles and driver hours.
• Logistics: ensure movement of chicks to farms per shipment schedule.
• Equipment monitoring: oversee incubation, hatchery, and environmental control equipment.
• Supervision: supervise personnel on a daily basis.
• Egg grading: grade fleets of eggs from hen farms.
• Vaccination: prepare vaccines for chickens.
• Additional duties as assigned by the manager.
