Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Hatchery Supervisor to lead daily hatchery operations, ensuring safe, humane incubation, processing and delivery of healthy chicks. You’ll supervise egg receiving, incubation, hatching, vaccination and shipment, while monitoring hatchability and production efficiency.

You’ll direct manpower and equipment, maintain biosecurity and animal welfare standards, analyze data and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of directly related hatchery experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication; leadership abilities.
• Reliable, ethical, punctual and team oriented with the ability to adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily hatchery activities including egg receiving, storage, incubation, transfer, hatching, chick processing, vaccination and shipment.
• Monitor hatchability, chick quality, mortality rates and production efficiency.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet chick placement requirements.
• Oversee operation of incubators, hatchers and vaccination equipment.
• Analyze production data and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Maintain compliance with animal welfare, biosecurity and safety standards.
