Job summary

Mountaire Farms is seeking a hatchery worker to support egg handling and Embrex operations. You will load the Embrex device with egg flats, move incubator racks, and transfer eggs to hatcher baskets while maintaining clean facilities.

Responsibilities include loading dollies, washing racks, and adhering to safety protocols within the hatchery environment. This role requires physical endurance and attention to sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Completion of all safety training, including lockout-tagout, is required.
• Continuous standing, walking, twisting, lifting, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling are expected.
• Works in a hatchery environment.

• Places egg flats containing hatching eggs into Embrex machine after removing cracked or rotten eggs.
• Removes hatcher basket containing hatching eggs from Embrex machine and places on hatcher dolley.
• Cleans and disinfects farm racks with empty egg flats as well as empty incubator racks.
• Transport incubator racks containing hatching eggs from incubators to Embrex machine.
• Transport hatcher dollies containing eggs from Embrex machine to hatcher hall and load into correct hatcher.

Load eggs from Embrex device into hatcher baskets and place on hatcher dollies. Load the dollies in the correct hatcher. Wash all farm and incubator racks. Dispose of all infertile eggs in vacuum system. Clean Embrex devices, incubators, hatch halls and setter halls after transfer is complete.
