Job summary

Little Leaf Farms is seeking a Harvest Technician to support harvesting and gutter washing operations. Duties include operating and maintaining harvesting equipment, cleaning gutters, and ensuring safety and quality across processes.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and flexibility to work weekends. Prior greenhouse machinery experience is a plus, with opportunities to grow skills in sanitation and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying climate conditions and long shifts.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Experience with greenhouse machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain harvesting equipment.
• Monitor crop conditions and report to QA staff.
• Ensure safety regulations while operating machinery.
• Clean and sanitize gutters prior to re-seeding and dispose of materials properly.
• Remove lettuce, root, and soil from gutters before washing.
• Troubleshoot and assist in maintenance of gutter washing systems.
• Sanitize and maintain cleanliness in processing and gutter washing areas.
• Collaborate with greenhouse management to coordinate harvesting and gutter washing tasks.
• Participate in training programs to enhance harvesting and gutter washing skills.
