Job summary

University of Connecticut Hartford Campus is seeking a full-time Student Activities Coordinator to support undergraduate student activities and leadership development at the Hartford campus. You will advise the Undergraduate Student Government, support student organizations, and develop leadership opportunities across campus and with community partners.

The role requires teamwork, strong ethics, good judgment, and a deep commitment to antiracist practices, equity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 3–4 years in student activities or related leadership development roles.
• Experience with budgeting, event planning, and student organization advising.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with diverse populations.
• Commitment to antiracism, equity, inclusion, and campus community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Advise Undergraduate Student Government and manage policies and operations.
• Oversee USG budget training, purchasing, and inventory.
• Monitor RSOs and coordination of training and registrations.
• Coordinate leadership development and community engagement programs.
• Plan campus-wide events and orientations; teach First-Year Experience class.
• Liaise with regional campus student activities staff and external partners.
