Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Harness Design Engineer in Mountain View, CA. You will own electrical harness design for drone airframes, docks, and test platforms, working 90% on electrical tasks and 10% mechanical routing and clips.

You will create harness drawings, select components, and support testing and production transition. Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of harness design experience, with knowledge of FAA airworthiness and SAE wiring standards.

• Harness test and validation experience

As a Harness Design Engineer, you will ;

• Own electrical harness design for the drone airframe, docks, and test platforms. The role is approximately 90% electrical and 10% mechanical (clips, routing, retention).

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with the aerospace regulatory environment (FAA airworthiness requirements) and aerospace wiring standards (e.g., SAE AS50881)

Preferred Qualifications

• UAV or aerospace harness experience


• Harness design tools (e.g., Capital, E3, SolidWorks Electrical)


• Experience supporting production build and inspection

Salary Range: $120k - $150k

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
