The Harmony Student Assistant will support the Harmony side of the Harmony and Jazz Composition department in various capacities, focusing on outreach, event coordination, and music preparation. Key responsibilities include assisting with copyist work as directed, aiding promotional efforts for department programs, helping organize and execute events such as concerts, workshops, and showcases. The student employee will also take on tasks assigned by the Harmony and Jazz Composition Coordinator and Department Chairs, playing a crucial role in maintaining the department's smooth operation. This position provides hands-on experience in music administration, offering an inside look into event management, music preparation, and departmental coordination within an academic setting.
