Job summary

SisterReach in Memphis, TN is seeking a Harm Reduction Specialist for the Pleasure Pak Program. You will engage communities, coordinate Pleasure Pak distributions, provide HIV testing education, and connect clients to care with a commitment to equity and cultural humility.

The role requires at least 3 years in harm reduction or public health, HIV prevention knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with DHS partners and volunteers to serve people who use drugs and individuals living with HIV.

Qualifications

• Certification in HIV testing, care connection, harm reduction strategies, and services for PWUD (Training provided)
• Certification in Harm Reduction and SSP programming (training provided)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in harm reduction, public health, or related fields
• Familiarity with harm reduction programming, including syringe services programs (SSP) and HIV prevention
• Knowledge of reproductive and sexual justice or social justice work is desirable
• Experience working with community and state partners is preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus

Responsibilities

• Leads Unhoused Client Outreach program, including meals, Pleasure Paks, CareOnHand Kits, pantry items, and hygiene bags
• Builds partnerships with community/state organizations to expand program reach
• Collaborate with harm reduction team, volunteers and interns to support programs
• Leads tabling/outreach to engage community and promote services
• Manages relationships for Pleasure Pak drop-offs
• Coordinates Pleasure Pak distribution and processing requests
• Prepares kits, handles mail/in-person distribution
• Monitors inventory of sexual health items and reports
• Supports health fairs and outreach activities
• Assists Pearl’s Pantry programming and mobile outreach
• Supports client order processing, HIV testing, and SSP distribution
• Provides education, resources, and care connection for HIV testing and PrEP/PEP/DoxyPEP
• Connects clients to care if testing positive
• Maintains certifications in HIV testing and harm reduction
• Delivers services rooted in equity and cultural competency
• Represents SisterReach at meetings/webinars/conferences
• Supports Marketing to create educational materials
• Documents activities and submits reports for grant compliance
• Collaborates with program leadership to identify improvements
