Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hardware/software design teams to plan and execute durability, electrical, and functional validation testing for Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
- Develop comprehensive test plans, scripts, and fixtures for all product testing phases.
- Establish traceability using requirement management tools and version control.
- Review functional and environmental test plans, and develop test strategies and cases.
- Participate in design assessments, including Bill of Design, CTS, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, and CTR.
- Provide data analytics from tests conducted.
- Create, maintain, and enhance technical documentation, templates, and tracking for BoD, BoM, CTS, DFMEA, ADV Toolbox, Drawing Templates, and Lessons Learned.
- Investigate and analyze test failures through data analysis and failure reproduction.
- Identify and assess potential risks impacting project timelines and customer quality.
- Continuously improve the safety, performance, and customer satisfaction of Rivian products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in automotive or aerospace/defense testing and electronics product design and development.
- Experience with laboratory testing, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, electrical, and EMC testing.
- Proficiency in automotive communication systems such as CAN and CAN-FD.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of requirement management tools like JIRA and JAMA.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and root cause analysis skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills: LabView, TestStand, and CAPL programming skills.
