Team Lead, Enterprise Talent Services at Motion Recruitment

Our client, a well-known electric vehicle company, is urgently looking to hire a Hardware Validation Engineer to join their team. This role is 100% onsite in Palo Alto, CA. No exceptions.

Contract Details: 5+ month contract on W2 with full benefits, high chance of extension or conversion.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with hardware/software design teams for durability, electrical, and functional validation testing of Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
• Develop test plans, scripts, and fixtures for product testing phases.
• Establish traceability using requirement management tools and version control.
• Develop and review test strategies and plans, including functional and environmental tests.
• Participate in design assessments like Bill of Design, CTS, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, and CTR.
• Knowledge of analog, power supply design (buck converter/LDO), and low-speed communication circuits (SPI/I2C/UART/CAN).
• Analyze data from tests and create technical documentation.
• Investigate test failures and assess potential risks affecting project timelines and quality.
• Improve safety, performance, and customer satisfaction continuously.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in automotive or aerospace/defense testing.
• Experience with laboratory testing, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, electrical, and EMC testing.
• Proficiency in automotive communication systems like CAN, CAN-FD.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
• LabView, TestStand, and CAPL skills are preferred.
• Knowledge of requirement management tools such as JIRA and JAMA.
• Strong collaborative communication and root cause analysis skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
