Job summary

DDN is seeking a Manufacturing System Test Technician II in San Diego, CA. This intermediate role requires 2+ years of manufacturing experience, good communication, and a passion for computer hardware.

You will test Intel-based electromechanical sub-assemblies and full systems. Responsibilities include setting up test equipment, running functional, operational, and burn-in tests, following QA procedures, analyzing issues, maintaining records, and reporting results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• A+ Certification in computer repair (required).
• Experience with assembling and repairing computer hardware.
• Proven skills in testing and quality assurance; ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines with urgency.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
• Good technical written skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems (Linux preferred).
• Fast learner with a keen aptitude for technology.
• Manufacturing background preferred but not required.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware and software testing of Intel based electromechanical sub-assemblies and complete systems
• Set up standard test equipment, and conduct functional, operational, and burn-in tests
• Follow process instructions and procedures for quality assurance
• Analyze hardware and software issues and troubleshoot
• Maintain records of work performed and report the results
• Log Problem and Non-Conformance reports in Propel PLM
• Maintain the work area in a clean and neat manner
