Job summary

Talanto is seeking an Associate Manager, Hardware Test Engineering to lead a small hardware test team while staying hands-on with test execution. You will develop and implement test plans across EVT/DVT stages, review results, and drive root-cause analysis to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
• Six or more (6+) years of hands-on hardware testing, quality engineering, reliability testing, or related experience
• Experience leading, mentoring, training, or supervising engineers, testers, technicians, or lab personnel
• Strong hands-on mechanical problem-solving and logical thinking
• Experience developing and executing hardware test plans from product requirements and specs
• Experience analyzing test data, identifying trends, troubleshooting, and communicating findings clearly
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong English communication

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a small hardware quality test team, potentially including one Hardware Test Engineer and multiple Hardware QA Testers
• Hands-on contributor by developing, executing, and reviewing hardware test plans for new and existing products
• Assign and prioritize daily test activities, lab work, data collection, troubleshooting, and reporting across the team
• Mentor engineers and lab personnel, drive root-cause analysis, and communicate product quality risks to cross-functional teams
• Develop and improve testing methods, fixtures, data collection processes, and test procedures
• Lead root-cause analyses using 8D, fishbone, 5-Why to drive corrective actions
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Operations to validate designs and readiness
• Support Product Risk Analysis activities and QA concerns in cross-functional meetings
