Innova Solutions is seeking a Product Development Engineer – Failure Analysis in San Jose, CA (onsite). The role focuses on validating and troubleshooting high-performance server and networking platforms, with responsibilities spanning pretests, log analysis, Linux-based testing, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

The candidate should have 4+ years in hardware testing or electrical engineering and a strong foundation in EE principles such as digital design and signal integrity.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience in hardware testing or electrical engineering.
• Proficiency with Linux command line tools and scripting.
• Solid understanding of system architecture and networking components.
• Experience in reviewing logs and performing root cause analysis.
• Strong knowledge of EE principles: digital design, signal integrity, timing and fault analysis, statistics and sampling, computer architecture.

Responsibilities

• Execute pretest scripts and diagnostic procedures on test fixtures.
• Review and analyze log files to perform initial triage based on engineering documentation.
• Operate within Linux environments to run commands and interpret outputs.
• Understand and navigate system architecture components including compute trays, switch trays, TOR switches, and power shelves.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support board and system-level electrical design validation.
• Apply EE fundamentals to assess digital design, signal integrity, timing, fault analysis, and sampling.
• Contribute to development and testing of complex server and networking platforms.
