Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a motivated Hardware Test Engineer to join a team responsible for validating next-generation networking and hardware products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and execute system-level testing, identify and resolve complex issues, and help ensure products meet quality and performance standards before manufacturing release.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Electrical or Computer Engineering graduate who enjoys hands-on hardware testing, troubleshooting, automation, and working in a fast-paced lab environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–1 years of professional experience or relevant internship/co-op experience in hardware validation, testing, or engineering.
• Hands-on experience using electrical test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, or signal generators.
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, TCL, or similar programming languages.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting hardware and automated test environments.
• Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and VRFs.
• Familiarity with hardware architecture and the OSI networking model.
• Exposure to fiber optics, Ethernet technologies, and cable testing infrastructure.
• Experience using network traffic generation and analysis tools such as Ixia or Spirent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced lab or product development environment.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of curiosity, ownership, and a "can-do" attitude.
