We're searching for a Manufacturing Technician to build Aurora's Hardware in accordance with Engineering Specifications. MFG Technicians have a wide range of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to complete end-to-end vehicle integration, which involves the full up-fitting of a vehicle, whether it be a car or truck. This process is also referred to as vehicle kit or kitting. Additionally, technicians are responsible for the completion and assembly of sub-assemblies, which includes wiring harnesses, computer modules, and other mechanical assemblies.

In this Role, you will

Be responsible for assembling self-driving vehicles and their sub-assemblies. Your role will involve working within the Aurora Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS). You will need to adhere to safety standards and meet internal deadlines while working with minimal oversight. Additionally, you will help aid in the creation of build documentation, attend training sessions through on-the-job mentorship, or a traditional classroom environment. As a Hardware Technician on Aurora's Manufacturing Team, you will play a crucial role in bringing self-driving technology to life. Your primary responsibilities will center around the hands-on assembly of cutting-edge self-driving vehicles and their intricate sub-assemblies. This demanding yet rewarding position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to precision.

A fundamental aspect of your work will involve operating strictly within the guidelines of the Aurora Manufacturing Quality Management System (QMS). Adherence to these established procedures is paramount to ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in all manufactured components and vehicles. You will be expected to consistently uphold rigorous safety standards, contributing to a secure and productive work environment for yourself and your colleagues. Furthermore, you will be tasked with meeting internal deadlines, often working independently with minimal oversight, demonstrating your ability to manage your time effectively and deliver results efficiently.

In addition to your core assembly duties, you will actively contribute to the ongoing improvement of our manufacturing processes. This includes assisting in the creation and refinement of detailed build documentation, which is essential for consistent and repeatable manufacturing. Your professional development will be a priority, and you will participate in various training sessions designed to enhance your skills and knowledge. These learning opportunities may take several forms, including on-the-job mentorship, where you gain practical experience and insights, or more traditional classroom environments, providing a deeper theoretical understanding of complex systems and manufacturing principles. This blend of practical application and formal instruction will ensure you are continually growing and adapting to the evolving landscape of autonomous vehicle technology.
