Job summary

Formlabs seeks a hands-on Hardware Systems Integration Intern for Summer 2027 in Somerville, MA. You will work with Mechanical, Electrical, and Embedded Firmware teams to integrate features, validate functionality, and test reliability. A strong portfolio is required to be considered.

You will design studies, build test setups, and diagnose issues while contributing to prototypes and software tooling to support reliability and characterization efforts.

Qualifications

• A portfolio of your previous engineering work is required.
• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering (mechanical/electrical or related).
• Experience with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and run studies to characterize and evaluate 3D printer performance.
• Design and build test setups to evaluate subsystem reliability.

Your application will not be considered without a portfolio. **The Job:**Creating a robust, high-reliability 3D printer necessitates a team of cross-disciplinary engineers who can understand complex system interactions to integrate new features, validate functionality, and test for reliability. Please give them a read.**Compensation**Interns at Formlabs are paid on a bi-weekly pay schedule. The pay range for this role will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location and expected impact on the organization. This is a salaried role, so you will always be paid based on the assumed 40 hours per week as a full-time intern. This position does not offer housing or relocation assistance.The weekly pay range for this role is:$1,575—$1,950 USD
