Job summary

Tech Mahindra in Cupertino is seeking a System Test and Design Engineer to design hardware test fixtures and validate board-level systems for Apple products. You will work cross-functionally with design, firmware, software, and operations to ensure quality and reliability.

The role emphasizes hardware design, debugging, and test instrumentation, with opportunities to lead test processes and travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.

Qualifications

• B.S. EE with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong analog, digital, and power electronics hardware knowledge.
• Experience with schematic & PCB layout using Allegro or similar CAD.
• Knowledge of USB 3.2, USB-PD, DisplayPort, PCIe, I2C, SPI protocols.
• Good communication across cross-functional teams.
• Nice to have bed-of-nails fixtures experience.
• Experience with parametric data analysis (CPK, GRR).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically/internationally.
• Technical leadership or project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate test fixtures and instruments for Apple products from prototype to mass production.
• Collaborate with system design and diagnostics teams early in development to learn architecture.
• Document tests, develop test plans, and collect parametric data.
