Job summary

Apple is seeking a system design and test engineer to design hardware that validates board- level system functionality and electrical performance of new Apple products. The role involves building custom test fixtures, firmware/FPGA IP, and instruments critical to product integrity.

You will work with cross-functional teams across Apple to design, test, and validate systems from prototype to mass production, ensuring documentation and test processes meet high quality standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of hardware design experience.
• Experience with analog, digital and power electronics architectures.
• Experience in schematic and PCB layout design.

Responsibilities

• Test fixture hardware design and integration with test instruments for Apple products.
• Collaborate early with system design/diagnostics teams to define tests.
• Be the technical expert for design, debugging, and validation of test systems.
• Liaise with contract manufacturers to ensure test stations and software are production-ready.
• Document tests and develop product test plans and diagnostics.
