Job summary

Supermicro, a leading server and storage solutions provider, seeks a purchasing and planning specialist for its San Jose HQ. You will plan and procure materials for current and new products, manage vendor relationships, and track supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires at least 1 year in purchasing/planning, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 1+ year purchasing and planning experience with contract manufacturers, preferably in hardware.
• Strong data analysis and Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase material requirements for ongoing production and new products.
• Prepare, review, and place department purchasing requisitions.
• Maintain computerized purchasing records and filing.
• Monitor and resolve production material shortages.
• Develop vendor relationships to manage PO delivery and costs.
• Track CM production schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
• Update planning spreadsheets and internal reports regularly.
• Support pricing, claims, and RMA activities as needed.
