Ace Hardware is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service in a busy hardware store environment. You will help customers find hardware and home improvement items, share product knowledge, and upsell related merchandise.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays while maintaining stock, displays, and store presentation. You will engage with customers, answer questions, process transactions, and contribute to a clean, safe shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic math for processing transactions.
• Comfort with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting hardware and home improvement products with guidance on features and usage.
• Maintain knowledge of inventory to effectively assist customers and make recommendations.
• Upsell by suggesting complementary items to enhance purchases.
• Assist with stocking, shelf replenishment, and periodic inventory checks.
• Provide courteous customer service and resolve questions or concerns promptly.
• Maintain attractive displays and ensure accurate pricing and labeling.
• Support store maintenance, cleanliness, and safety throughout the shift.
• Adhere to store policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
