Job summary

Brunswick True Value is seeking a cashier to operate the checkout, answer customer questions, and contribute to a welcoming store environment. You will be the first impression for many customers each visit, handling transactions accurately and assisting with inquiries.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean front end, greeting customers, knowing store policies, and promoting loyalty programs. Weekend availability is required on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Two years cashier or POS experience preferred but not required.
• Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Team player with willingness to contribute where needed.
• Good math and cash register skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow across store departments.
• Weekend availability on a rotating basis is required.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, orderly front end and assist with housekeeping as needed.
• Greet customers and help locate merchandise in the store.
• Provide a smooth checkout experience and manage traffic flow.
• Know store policies including returns and refunds.
• Promote loyalty programs and seasonal promotions.
• Identify shoplifters and respond per store policy.
• Operate POS equipment and handle transactions accurately.
• Assist store staff with other tasks as needed.
