Brunswick True Value is seeking a friendly, customer-focused cashier to join our team in Ohio. You will manage checkout transactions, answer customer questions, and help maintain a smooth shopping experience aligned with our family-owned values.

You will greet customers, assist with merchandise locations, and promote loyalty programs. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy in cash handling, and a team-oriented mindset with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Two years of cashier or point-of-sale service preferred, but not required.
• Outstanding customer service skills and a professional attitude.
• Team player with a willingness to contribute wherever needed.
• Good math and cash register skills.
• General understanding of store merchandise with a willingness to continually expand knowledge.
• Capacity to follow through on assignments and stay busy throughout the day.
• Weekend availability.

Responsabilités

• Verbally welcome all customers to Brunswick True Value.
• Be able to answer a variety of basic questions concerning merchandise and its location in the store.
• Provide a smooth customer service experience by maintaining an efficient checkout process and orderly traffic flow through the checkout.
• Have a working knowledge of all store policies and procedures, including returns, refunds.
• Promote store loyalty programs and seasonal promotions.
• Be vigilant to identify shoplifters and other types of theft. Respond with appropriate action, according to store policy.
• Operate all point-of-sale equipment and process all types of transactions, including cash, credit card, debit card, and house accounts. Provide accurate sales transactions to all customers.
• Help store staff with other tasks as needed.

Job Summary:

At Brunswick True Value, cashiers operate a checkout counter and help answer customers’ questions. Cashiers are an important part of providing an outstanding customer service experience consistent with company values. Cashiers are often the first employees customers see upon entering the store, therefore it is important that our cashiers create an outstanding first impression, every time. A cashier’s job will include but is not limited to, the following responsibilities.
