The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electro/mechanical equipment, networked computer systems, and software, reporting service issues to technical support.

This position is part of the National Service Support Team covering the United States and is fully remote, requiring location in the Central United States within one hour of a major metropolitan airport. It entails at least 80% travel, primarily by plane. Our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be part of the National Automation team, reporting to the Automation NSS Supervisor/Manager, focusing on the implementation of complex automation systems. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, cross-functional environment and aim to build a world-class diagnostic service organization, keep reading.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Exercise judgment to identify and solve complex problems with laboratory automation systems.
  • Support product and revenue growth through high-quality implementation processes.
  • Provide troubleshooting support both on-site and remotely to field service engineers.
  • Work independently within established procedures, collaborating with teammates and installation teams.
  • Mentor and train internal and external customers to transfer vital technical knowledge.

Essential requirements for a National Hardware Specialist:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years relevant experience; or an Associate's Degree with 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Experience in complex electro-mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
  • Willingness to travel domestically at least 80% of the time, often on short notice, from a home-based office near a major airport.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and network troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Standard Laboratory Practices, Quality Control, and regulatory requirements.

We support flexible, remote working arrangements and offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, and 401(k). The hourly rate is $40.00 - $45.00, with potential bonuses and incentives. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.
