Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Software Test Engineer for its Space Division to develop and sustain automated test software for satellite ground systems. The role emphasizes HITL/SITL testing, CI-integrated frameworks, and scalable test automation in a SCIF. On-site work only, with a 9/80 schedule and every other Friday off.

Candidates should have a STEM degree and active Top-Secret clearance, plus experience with C, Python, Bash, and LabVIEW/PyVISA. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of professional experience or a Master’s degree.
• Active Top-Secret clearance: required at time of application.
• Demonstrated software‑development experience in C, Python, and Bash.
• Experience designing or executing automated tests (framework design, CI integration, regression suites).
• Familiarity with Linux environments and RF test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, deploy, and sustain automated test software for a satellite ground system.
• Build and evolve an automated-test framework invoked from CI pipelines.
• Use Playwright with Python for UI-level test automation.
• Maintain LabVIEW or PyVISA VIs for RF test equipment control.
• Create test cases, plans, and procedures to demonstrate system compliance.
• Configure Linux-based VMs and automate nightly regression runs.
• Support ground-software operations and test-event activities at customer sites.
