Job summary

Amazon Security Hardware is seeking a Hardware Security Operations Manager who leads a team of security engineers to ensure integrity of AWS hardware across its lifecycle. You will mentor, plan workloads, and drive improvements in testing, analysis, and SOP development.

You will partner with global teams to mitigate risks in manufacturing and logistics and to advance defense and response mechanisms for hardware security.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance or engineering experience or equivalent in operations.
• 2+ years of programming in at least one language or relevant degree.
• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting or similar field experience.
• Experience dealing with customers under pressure and driving projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, and develop a team of hardware security engineers and set goals.
• Plan and prioritize workload across projects with balance of commitments and growth.
• Perform hands-on testing, automation, root cause analysis, and generate artifacts.
• Develop and review SOPs for operation, equipment, testing, and analysis.
• Review engineering reports with team and internal customers before publishing.
• Define and track operational metrics and report risks to leadership.
• Drive a security mindset across all functions and operations.
• Own audits of activities and drive corrective actions to closure.
• Manage lab equipment and investments, identify capability gaps.
• Lead continuous improvement for automation and efficiency.
