Job summary

Ganahl Lumber Company seeks an energetic Hardware Sales associate to receive in-person orders, describe options, compute costs, accept payments and deliver outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include greeting customers, guiding them to products, explaining use and care, answering phones, and recommending solutions.

You will keep inventory accurate, assist with loading and unloading, perform cashier duties as needed, and help maintain a safe, clean store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• On-the-job training provided.
• Six months related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with courtesy and assist them.
• Describe options, compute costs, and accept payments.
• Answer telephones and direct customers to the correct department.
• Maintain knowledge of inventory and product usage.
• Keep store clean and safe; assist with loading and cashiering as needed.
• Perform cycle counts every 60 days.
