Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking Engineering Co-ops in Wisconsin for its 2027 co-op program. You will perform Form/Fit/Function analysis on enterprise hardware in lab and factory settings, identify root causes, and conduct precision dimensional inspections using CMMs, 3D scanners, and calipers.

You will gain hands-on experience with metrology tools, optical microscopes, 3D CT X-ray, and failure analysis techniques to support data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science or related fields.
• Hands-on curiosity for hardware operation, disassembly and inspection.
• Strong understanding of mechanical hardware design, function and failure analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform Form/Fit/Function analysis of Dell hardware in lab and factory settings.
• Identify root causes of failures using destructive and non-destructive analysis.
• Conduct precision dimensional inspections with CMMs, 3D scanners, calipers.
• Use optical microscopes, 3D CT X-ray, SEM, and hardness testers for investigations.
• Deliver fast-turn analysis to support data-driven decisions and risk minimization.
