Dell Technologies in Austin, TX is seeking a Global Operations Supplier Quality Engineer Co-Op. You will perform Form/Fit/Function analysis on Dell enterprise hardware in lab and factory settings, identify root causes, and conduct detailed metrology inspections using CMM, 3D scanners, optical microscopes, and X-ray as needed.

Students enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or Materials Science will gain hands-on experience with CAD

Qualifications

• Students currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science or related majors.
• Strong interest in hardware design, function and failure analysis.
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Perform Form/Fit/Function analysis of Dell enterprise hardware in lab and factory environments.
• Identify root causes of failures using destructive and non-destructive analysis.
• Conduct precision dimensional inspections with a range of metrology tools.
• Use optical microscopes, 3D CT X-ray, SEM and hardness testers to investigate issues.
• Deliver fast-turn analyses to support data-driven decisions and reduce risk.
