Job summary

Landis+Gyr in Alpharetta, GA seeks an Engineer III, Hardware Quality Assurance to ensure the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of electronic products throughout NPI and released-product lifecycles.

You will translate product requirements into compliance design specs, develop and execute QA test plans, and coordinate FCC/IC, electrical safety, and hazardous location certifications with internal teams and external laboratories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5‑7 years of experience in an engineering or testing field or equivalent.
• Knowledge of hardware quality and reliability principles.
• Experience in electronic product development and reading schematics.
• Familiar with FCC and ISED regulations for ISM‑band devices.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Own HQA deliverables for NPI projects.
• Develop and execute HQA test plans.
• Translate safety and regulatory requirements into high‑level design specifications.
• Co‑own compliance deliverables for assigned projects.
• Coordinate external labs for FCC/IC testing and certifications.
• Plan and manage compliance activities for certifications on new products.
• Maintain compliance status for released products.
• Contribute to quality and compliance process improvements.
