Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company seeks a Compliance Engineer III (Hardware Controls) to ensure UL safety and FCC EMC/EMI/RF compliance across HVAC electronic controls. You will lead regulatory planning, coordinate with design teams, and manage third-party labs for certification throughout the product lifecycle.

You will develop and maintain regulatory documentation, perform risk assessments, and drive improvements in compliance processes to streamline approvals and reduce redesigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in electronic controls development including compliance management.
• Experience interpreting regulations (UL, FCC, CSA, CE).

Responsibilities

• Capture control compliance activities for HVAC electronic controls.
• Develop test plans and coordinate with 3rd party labs for certification.
• Lead cross-functional reviews of requirements and documentation.
• Review design documentation, schematics, PCB layouts, and DOE analyses.
• Coordinate with contract manufacturers on qualification builds.
• Develop and maintain compliance files and declarations of conformity.
