Outrider seeks a Platform Engineer II to support HW development and testing for autonomous vehicles and robotic manipulation. You will execute test plans, troubleshoot electro‑mechanical systems, and help ensure durability and lifecycle performance before field deployment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience with integrated software/hardware systems such as robotics or aerospace products, ideally with test engineering or reliability exposure.
• BS in mechanical, computer, electrical/electronics engineering, or similar discipline.
• Some experience designing or supporting test fixtures and reliability test rigs for electro‑mechanical systems.
• Exposure to accelerated life testing (ALT) methodologies (academic, internship, or professional).
• Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation (DAQ systems, sensors, oscilloscopes, multimeters) for capturing and interpreting test data.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to test strategies for mechanical and electro‑mechanical subsystems; define test plans, acceptance criteria, and pass/fail requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain reliability test fixtures and rigs that simulate real-world conditions for life testing, fatigue, and thermal cycling.
• Support reliability initiatives by analyzing failure modes and aiding design/process improvements.
• Support field testing and debugging locally and at remote customer sites.
• Support manufacturing by running and maintaining assembly test fixtures.
