Etched.ai, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Design Program Manager in San Jose to drive readiness from DFM reviews through production ramp for transformer-specific AI systems.

This highly cross-functional individual contributor role sits at the intersection of design engineering, test engineering, SMT, FATP, supply chain, and operations. Qualifications

• 7+ years of hardware engineering experience with transition to program management.
• Led cross-functional hardware programs through NPI and production ramp.
• Experience with DFM reviews and working with contract manufacturers.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and leadership for senior leadership updates.
• Willingness to work in-person in San Jose and travel internationally if needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive manufacturing readiness across NPI and mass production with design, test, SMT, FATP, supply chain, and operations.
• Lead DFM reviews across multiple assemblies, identifying manufacturability risks early.
• Own readiness for programs, track build readiness, tooling, and factory ramp.
• Coordinate prototype to production builds and ensure timely deliverables.
• Develop production plans with contract manufacturers and pursue continuous improvement.
• Resolve issues during engineering and production with root-cause analysis and cross-functional coordination.
• Monitor KPIs like yield, cycle time, quality, and readiness; report to leadership.
• Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to engineering leadership and executives.
