Job summary

Hitachi America, Ltd. is seeking a Research Intern for hardware implementation and validation of an energy storage system. You will own the bench setup, implement real-time control, and validate design predictions against hardware measurements.

The role requires hands-on lab work, MOS/real-time hardware experience, and strong skills in MATLAB/Simulink and Python. This is a 3-6 month internship located in Santa Clara, CA.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a PhD or MS program in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in power systems and power electronics.
• Experience with energy storage and control of converters.

Responsibilities

• Build and validate a bench-scale hybrid storage system with real-time control.
• Implement controllers on real-time hardware and compare with models.
• Document procedures, results, and assist in publications and patents.
