Job summary

General Matter is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to help build the electrical systems at the heart of a new generation of enrichment technology in Los Angeles. You will gain hands-on experience across sensors, actuators, power electronics, controls, and safety-critical firmware as part of a real hardware project.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline.
• Familiarity with electrical systems architecture, circuit design, PCBA layout, or harness design.
• Knowledge of ECAD software tools such as Altium or Cadence.
• Team player in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of highly reliable electrical systems for enrichment technology.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to perform systems trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, bring-up, debugging, and documentation.
• Create development and qualification testing campaigns to exercise designs and ensure reliability.
• Work with experts from other teams to ensure fielded systems are efficient, manufacturable, and reliable.
