Turner & Townsendare seeking an experiencedHardware Integration Project Manager (Facilities & Equipment)tojoin our team. This role sits at the intersection of product development, engineering, and real-world deployment. You will lead the implementation of emerging technologies from early-stage prototypes through to scalable, deployable design standards. Your job is to make sure new productsactually workin real environments — not just in theory — and toidentifyand solve integration challenges before they become costly issues.

This is not a traditional construction project management role. You will be working upstream in the development cycle, helping shape how products are designed, tested, and implemented across physical spaces. You will work closely with architecture and engineering teams, vendors, and consultants tovalidateand implement solutions. The environment is evolving. Many processes are still being built. You will need to be comfortable operating with incomplete information andhelping to define the path forward.

    Responsibilities:

    • Own the implementation path for new products from prototype through standardization
    • Work directly with engineering, product, facilities, security, and operations teams tovalidatereal-world requirements early
    • Translate prototypes and concepts into deployable solutions that can be installed, maintained, and scaled
    • Identifyintegration risks across physical environments (space constraints, power, network, installation methods, storage, etc.) and drive mitigation plans
    • Coordinate with external vendors, manufacturers, and consultants to ensure solutions areviableand executable
    • Build and manage the R&D implementation roadmap, ensuring infrastructure and readiness align with product development
    • Communicate status, risks, and key decisions across stakeholders through written updates, working sessions, and reviews
    • Respond quickly to incoming R&D issues (e.g., design gaps, prototype failures, installation blockers) and drive resolution across teams
    • Independently review drawing sets, submittals, and specifications toidentifygaps, risks, and implementation issues
    • Strategic thinking – provide guidance to project teams on approaches to achieve client and business objectives
    • Knowledge management – ensure that key information and learnings generated from each project is captured
    • Process improvement –identifyways to improve internal systems and processes as they relate to R&Dand your team objectives
    • Lead product vetting against design standards, permitting, and code requirements
    • Define and document repeatable standards based on validated solutions
    • Drive final documentation approval with teamleads, ensuring standards, specifications, and design outputs arevalidatedprior to release
    • Facilitate working sessions to align cross-functional teams where requirements are unclear or conflicting
    • Document learnings and help shape emerging design standards and processes
    • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Mechanical engineering background (strongly preferred)
    • Experience with R&D environments, labs, or prototyping workflows–vetting and validating products against the client standards, codes, etc.
    • Background in industrial design or product design validation
    • Experience with vendor and external partner management
    • Familiarity with permitting, codes, and compliance considerations
    • Experience working in ambiguous or early-stage programs
    • Proficiencywith AutoCAD, Revit, Miro, andAsana
      • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience with physical system design/implementation
      • 5–8+ years of experience in roles such as:
      • Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
      • Architecture (with strong technical/build focus& engineeringcollaboration)
      • Product implementation / hardware deployment
      • Industrial or systems design tied to physical environments
      • Experience working with physical products, systems, or infrastructure (not just software or digital productsimplementation)
      • Ability to evaluate how products interact with real-world constraints (space, power, installation, environment, maintenance, and access)
      • Proven ability to take concepts or early-stage designs and make them executable in real-world environments
      • Strong organizational and management skills–collaborating across multiple disciplines (engineering, operations, vendors, facilities, etc.)
      • Strong requirements gathering and problem-solving skills
      • Excellentcollaboration and communication skills
      • Experience reviewing and providing QA/QC of design drawings, technical documents, and/or product specifications
