Job summary

Mill, a waste prevention technology company, seeks a Product Design Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join a fast-paced, small team. You will work on a novel consumer product, gain hands-on hardware experience, and use CAD tools like NX while contributing to design, tooling and testing toward launch.

This role offers exposure to prototyping, validation, and collaboration with suppliers and contract manufacturers, preparing you for mass production challenges in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (obtained or in progress).
• Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred).
• Experience with rapid prototyping methods.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross functional teams on design and validation of new products.
• Develop prototypes and run tests to advance design toward mass production maturity.
• Assist with 3D CAD design and 2D documentation.
• Support engineering build activities with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve quality issues.
