Job summary

Beaumont Hardware in Portland, OR is seeking Floor Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer service and knowledge for home improvement projects. You will serve as a confidant professional, guiding customers, making recommendations, and providing detailed product information while working with a team to ensure a positive store experience.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, maintaining the sales floor, handling promotions, loading assistance, inventory, and basic tasks like

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hands on experience with home repair and remodeling required.
• Outstanding customer service skills and professional attitude.
• Knowledge of products in the store and willingness to learn.
• Organized, self-starter who solves problems.
• Knowledge of sales methods and POS systems; MS Word and PowerPoint knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone, assist customers, find merchandise, and suggest add-on sales.
• Maintain a clean and orderly sales floor; perform housekeeping tasks.
• Notify customers of promotions and new products.
• Assist with loading products into customers' vehicles as needed.
• Restock shelves and participate in regular stock inventory.
• Face and front products at start and end of shift.
• Help store staff with other tasks as needed.
• Identify shoplifters and respond per store policy.
• Attend staff meetings and adhere to store policies and safety standards.
• Be able to cut keys for customers.
