Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Hardware Engineering Technician for the Government Services Division. The role involves performing electronic hardware tests, building prototypes, and maintaining engineering records. A strong foundation in C and assembly, plus knowledge of 3-phase power systems, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronic technology or related associate degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic electronic hardware tests following engineering procedures.
• Build engineering prototypes and document construction and records.
• Assist engineers in evaluating new electronic components.
• Assemble test fixtures, load banks, and other product-development components.
• Provide engineering support as needed.
• Process ECOs of modest complexity under supervision.
