Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a Hardware Engineering Manager 1 to lead PCB design, component engineering, and production transition in Woodland Hills, CA. This onsite role emphasizes team empowerment, process improvement, and cost/schedule performance.

You will guide a geographically dispersed team, partner with program offices, and drive technical proposals while mentoring engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have PCB design or fabrication experience.
• Experience leading a technical development or production team.
• Understanding of PCB processes and component engineering.
• Experience with PLM tools for hardware designs.
• Ability to generate/ review BOEs and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering design, development, and transition to production of PCB and inertial navigation components.
• Drive process improvements and quantitative management.
• Provide guidance to achieve cost, schedule, and technical performance targets.
• Contribute to technical and cost proposals.
• Coordinate staffing with discipline leads; mentor team members.
