Job summary

Parallel Systems is seeking a Hardware Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to help push next-gen autonomous battery-electric rail vehicles toward production. The role spans design, analysis, tooling, testing, and field validation, delivering a production subsystem from concept to ramp.

You will collaborate with engineers on end-of-line testing, powertrain tooling, harness checkout, instrumentation, and onboard sensor systems, gaining hands-on experience across the full hardware development cycle.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• Self-motivated problem solver who takes ownership of challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of end-of-line testing for Mk3 pneumatic and brake systems.
• Design, analysis, and deployment of improved powertrain installation tooling.
• Design, procurement, and deployment of LV harness checkout test bench.
• Design, installation, and checkout of Mk3 drag-on instrumentation system.
