Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a Hardware Engineer for the Tactical Data Links line. The role covers design from concept through production, collaborating with Systems, Software, CAD, and Manufacturing teams.

The position requires a degree in engineering (or equivalent experience) and offers a 9/80 schedule. A U.S. Secret clearance is required or the ability to obtain one, with salary disclosed for California locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in system requirements definition
• Lead and participate in high-level design and low-level design workflows
• Develop schematics and work in close collaboration with CAD Engineering team
• Produce and test design deliverables such as Circuit Card Assemblies in RF, Digital and mixed signal applications
• Create Bill of Materials and work with Planning and Supply Chain for part procurement
• Work closely with Component Engineering for part creation on new designs as well as for sustaining of current products
• Produce program deliverables and develop design-level documentation
• Ability to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Clearance
