Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer to support programs in the Automated Test Equipment area. You will coach and lead electrical and mechanical engineers, interface with program managers, and ensure milestones are met.

This role requires a government security clearance and US citizenship. You will develop hardware systems and contribute to cutting-edge aerospace technology on the F-35 program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (or related).
  • Experience with mechanical/electrical design and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with 3D models and electrical schematic interpretation.
  • Knowledge of hardware engineering processes and tools (CREO or SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach electrical and mechanical engineers on projects.
  • Interface with Program Manager and Engineering Program Manager.

The Work

This position is for a Lead Hardware Engineer supporting programs in the Automated Test Equipment (ATE) area. As a key member of our Hardware Engineering team, you will:

  • Coach and lead electrical and mechanical engineers
  • Interface with Program Manager/Engineering Program Manager
  • Ensure project milestones and commitments are met
  • Develop hardware systems/subsystems

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical

Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or other Engineering related discipline

  • Experience with mechanical/electrical design and troubleshooting
  • Experience working with 3D models and proficiency in electrical schematic interpretation
  • Knowledgeable in Hardware Engineering processes and tools such as CREO or SolidWorks or similar tools
Desired Skills
  • CAM experience
  • Proficiency in authoring BOEs, Costing BOMs, and Proposal Process
  • Experience with Engineering Change Control Processes
  • Working knowledge of Agile terms and methodologies
  • Prior Automated Test Equipment/Special Test Equipment experience
  • Experience with product development or manufacturing
  • Proficient in Windchill/EPDM
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
